On Full System Setup and Train
One of the very first systems that Sun Dog set up involved a small business switching from custom-designed, DOS-based programs to a new operating system and new computers. After settling on QuickBooks, Sun Dog worked with the client to establish new procedures and processes for invoicing, etc. The company now does all their own bookkeeping, while Sun Dog assists with quarterly procedures, year-end procedures and changes in the payroll options offered by QuickBooks.
On Selecting a New System
A long-time client found their business growth necessitated a move into a larger, more robust software system. Sun Dog helped them analyze what was needed, what was working, and what was not working, and then did the research to locate accounting software to meet their criteria. Of three viable software programs, the client selected Foundation.
On System Implementation
Over time, Sun Dog has learned how important it is to offer system implementation as one of our services. While many of our clients retain CPAs and accountants, these consultants work with the output and analyze the numbers, but do not necessarily have experience in setting up software and implementing necessary procedures, nor is it something that they are interested in. Sun Dog Consulting specializes in system implementation so our clients can direct their valuable time on the productive aspects of their business operations.
